Officers have two jobs, one is to mentor one or more younger student’s in designing or performing a STEM project. This can be virtual or in person and a documentation page is available to provide AJAS leaders with the information we would need to write you a recommendation letter. This officer position is called STEM mentor or STEMM. Sophomore participants may also vie for a vice president position. There is one spot for a male and female. Sophomores interested would be selected by the highest score in the category at state or the highest ranking in the finals. The co-vice presidents as juniors would help with registration on Thursday before the banquet, but also would be elevated to the position of president automatically as a senior. The two co-presidents have the job of contributing to the introductions on the Thursday night of the banquet.
